Laura is a barrister at Bankside Chambers with extensive experience in a broad range of commercial litigation (see details). Her skills are recognised by various directories including Chambers (Dispute Resolution - The Bar), The Best Lawyers™ in New Zealand (Arbitration and Mediation; Corporate Law; Insolvency and Reorganisation Law; and Litigation) and Doyle's Guide (Insolvency & Restructuring).
With a focus on achieving the best outcome for the client, Laura takes a pragmatic approach to resolving disputes where possible. She acts for clients in all forms of dispute resolution, including mediations, expert determinations and arbitrations.
Throughout her career Laura has maintained a special interest in technology, being an early adopter of tools to make litigation more efficient and effective. Over the years she has been actively involved in law society matters (including as a council member for ADLS and NZLS). She has served on the Rules Committee since 2013. Other ongoing memberships include RITANZ and AWLA (Auckland Women Lawyers' Association).
Laura was appointed as Queen's Counsel in June 2021.
